Turn a PDF or image into a QR code
Share a file by QR code without a website or cloud drive. Upload it, we host it, and scanners open it right on their phone. Every file is virus-scanned before it is served, and you can replace it later without reprinting the code.
How to make a QR code for a PDF
- Choose a PDF, JPG, PNG or WEBP up to 10 MB (50 MB with a free account)
- Name the code, e.g. "Lunch menu" or "Science worksheet unit 3"; scanners see this name before opening
- Press "Create QR code", wait a moment for the virus scan, then download the code to print or share
- When the file changes, upload a new version from the manage link; the same code opens the new file
Why not just link to Google Drive?
You can (use the website link type), but Drive links need the sharing permission set correctly or scanners hit a request-access page, and uploading a replacement often changes the link. Hosting the file on qrfast removes the permission problem and keeps the link stable when the file changes.
How do scanners open the file?
They land on a page showing the file name, size and safety check, with "Open file" and "Download" buttons. PDFs open on iPhone and Android without any app.
How long is the file kept?
It does not expire, as long as it follows the policy (files with malware or copyright violations are removed and the code suspended). You can delete it anytime from the manage link.
FAQ
My file is bigger than 10 MB
A free account raises the limit to 50 MB per file, or compress the PDF first; menu images usually shrink a lot without visible loss.
Do you support Word or Excel files?
Not yet. Export to PDF first (both have a built-in PDF export) so it opens the same on every device.
